We are located in the downtown area of Battle Creek, Michigan, fondly known as "The Cereal City”. We are very proud of our Romanesque style structure which has many beautiful features such as lovely stained glass windows and a magnificent Baldachino, altars of marble and stone, designed and executed by artists of Daprato Studios in Chicago, Illinois.

The church was built in 1929, after the original church building burned down in 1928. when Rev. Maurice Walsh was pastor. Our parish is made up of about 1300 families from the city of Battle Creek and surrounding areas.

There are many opportunities for our parishioners to become active in the saving mission of the Church by being part of one or more of the many ministries and organizations that are available here at St. Philip.

In 1995, the Adoration Chapel was established in the chapel at Seton Center (the former convent), and there is adoration in the chapel 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. "All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer". Acts 1:14

St. Philip Catholic Central High School was established in 1917 and is dedicated to the individual development of the student academically, socially and spiritually. The commitment of parents, students, staff, community and the Church will result in educated, responsible and faith-filled citizens.

St. Philip Catholic Middle School combines grades six through eight in a specialized environment housed in the same building as the high school. The unique needs of middle school students are paramount in the teaching approach of this age group, and are addressed through the coordinated efforts of administration, staff, parents and students.
